Examination System & Promotion Policy for SENIOR Wing
Classes XI – XII
In grade XI, students can opt for the Science, Commerce or Humanities stream, which enables them to appear for the All India Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted by the CBSE. The main aim is to instill self-confidence and self efficacy among students so as to outshine in the competitive world and equip them with positive behaviour, knowledge, leadership skills and an understanding of human values and ethics.
Streams offered are:-
English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Education, Mathematics (Optional)
English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physical Education
English, Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics, Physical Education, Mathematics/ Informatics Practices/Hindi
English, Hindi, History/Sociology, Political Science/Geography, Economics/Fine Arts, Physical Education
The First Term evaluation will be done on the basis of the Unit test to be held every Monday in the months from July to August and the terminal examination to be held in month of September
The Second Term evaluation will be done on the basis of the Unit test to be held from October to January and the terminal examination to be held in the month of Feb/March.
A minimum of 33% Marks in the theory and Practicals separately in each subjects is required for promotion to class XII.
As per the CBSE guidelines, 75% attendance is also compulsory for promotion.
The First Term evaluation will be done on the basis of the Unit tests to be held every Monday in the months from May to November with the Terminal Examination held in month of September
The Second Term evaluation will be done on the basis of Pre-Board I and Pre-Board -II held in the month of December and January.
As per CBSE Examination Bye-Laws, no student shall be eligible to take the examination unless he has completed 75% attendance counted from the beginning of the session to the first of the month preceding the month in which examination commences in the subjects of internal assessment. There will be two Pre-Board Examinations for Class XII.
