  • Workshop on National Education Policy-2020

  • Kamal Public Sr Sec school conducted 'NEP 2020' Workshop on September 16, 2023 under the guidance of COE, CBSE. 

    Dr. Suchitra Bhattacharya and Dr.Trilok Singh Bisht were the esteemed Resource Persons, from the CBSE, for the day. They were felicitated by the school Principal Dr. Reema Tandon. They imparted their knowledge through activities and extremely interactive session. They conveyed to the entire faculty, that how the Current Education System can be made holistic, flexible and multidisciplinary. NEP emphasizes on ensuring universal access to all children to obtain quality holistic education. To conclude the workshop, an assignment of the faculty was done through a questionnaire round based on the NEP pattern of education.A speech was delivered by the Principal Dr. Reema Tandon enlightening the participants. It was a fabulous workshop and a marvellous learning experience.

  • Workshop on Effective Teaching Strategies in Science

    A workshop on effective strategies in science for science teachers was conducted in the school by Ms. Indu K Nair and Ms. Harpreet. The goal of this workshop was to equip the teachers with varieties of activities in teaching and learning in science and to strengthen the teachers in planning and visualising lessons.The details of the workshop entailed that learning objective is to achieve active participation and interest in the subject by learners. Thus, the lesson plans developed by the faculty members must have clarity of general and specific objectives mentioned alongwith the various methodologies, aids and learning styles to enable all students to learn successfully and fruitfully.The importance of active learning by reciprocal questioning, gamification and role play was emphasised. The effectiveness of cooperative learning to include each and every learner to participate in the class was discussed. Implementation of visualisation and inquiry based instruction in the class to gain a deeper knowledge of academic concepts was encouraged. The role of humour in the class, to keep it from getting dull and boring was also put forth.

    The classroom is a dynamic environment and being an effective teacher requires implementation of creative and innovative teaching strategies in order to meet students’ individual needs. The workshop was thus an enriching experience for the teachers.

  • CBSE Workshop on "Happy Classroom"

    “Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of travelling,” taught Margaret Lee Runbeck 

    To thrive the aforementioned, a CBSE Capacity Building Programme (CBP) was hosted by Kamal Public School in collaboration with Centre of Excellence (COE) on the topic “Happy Classroom”  on June 30, 2023 in the school auditorium. The interactive session aimed at discussing ways to foster happiness in classrooms. 

    The resource persons for the event were Ms. Rashmi Sharma, Ex Principal, and Ms. Shruti Pandey, Senior Practising Counsellor.

    Ms. Shruti ushered in the session with the concept of Self Awareness followed by an engaging activity on the same. The activity helped the attendees perceive the areas which require their reflection. She moved further with the productive techniques.
    The witnesses also learnt about the concept of Emotional Intelligence and its four core skills.
    Ms. Rashmi began her share of the workshop with a collaborative  activity. She advanced with a deep analysis on FBA (Functional Behaviour Analysis) with the assistance of audio-visual aids. The illuminating assemblage concluded with a comprehensive assesment and a vote of thanks to the learned resource pesons.

    The workshop was indeed an inspiring nudge for all the participants to enthusiastically strive to create happy classrooms and make learning a fun filled experience for the pupils and the educators alike.

  • Workshop on "Problems are Universal"

    The ability to solve problems is a basic life skill and is essential to our day-to-day lives, at home, at school, and at work.A workshop was organised by the School on March 28 for teaching faculty brought to the fore that problems can be resolved if systematic approach is followed.

    The highly creative, innovatory and enjoyable workshop was conducted by Ms. Vandana Tandon of The Times of India NIE.The facilitators nodded in unsion when the resource person exclaimed that ‘Problems are Universal'.

    A remarkable workshop, on March 2023 was steered by Resource Persons Ms. Sneha and Mr. Pradeep to upskill, upgrade our tenacious teachers on the use of this platform for use in classroom activities.

  • In the month of March, KPS piloted workshop for educators so that they can acquire new techniques & skills as it is the need of the hour, given the unprecedented times we live in.

    So resource person from Entab Campus Care (Mr. Saurabh) and Extra Marks Smart Classes (Mr. Ramanpreet) provided training session for teachers to make them more adept with the use of know – how in their day to day professional routine. 

    From partaking attendance with parents to delivering course content in school rooms, technology is ubiquitous.

  • Workshop on 21st Century Skills

  •  In keeping with the NEP 2020 policy, a workshop entitled "21st Century Skills" was conducted for faculty members on June 29, 2022 at KPS premises in association with HT Pace.The session was conducted (as a part of Faculty Development Programme Series) by Ms. Shalini Tayal, a well read & eloquent orator.The session was hugely enriching & thoroughly enjoyed by all.At KPS, we firmly believe, "Once a TEACHER, always a TEACHER & a LEARNER!!"

  • Workshop on Integration of NEP 2020 into the Lesson Plans

 

       November-2019

"Handwriting is a spiritual designing, even though it appears by means of a material instrument" A workshop on improving the  handwriting of children was conducted by Dr.Sreeson Gopinath Director, Veda Handwriting lab. It provided an excellent insight into the      teaching of handwriting and how to teach it effectively, it included progression from letter formation to cursive writing, holding a pencil or pen correctly, the perfect posture for a good handwriting among many other techniques. It was a really helpful workshop.

    A pleasing personality is teacher's tool to make learning effective for her students. Workshop on personality development was conducted for the teachers of KPS

    Tech Education made simple

    A robotic science workshop was conducted in the school for the students of class VI and VII.. they learnt many new things related to Robotics.

    Workshops on 'Communication Skills' and 'Teaching Skills and New Teaching Techniques' were conducted .

  • Time Management

    Time Management plays a vital role in the life of teachers. In a short span of 40 minutes a teacher needs to cater all the students. To teach the skill of Time Management a workshop was organized by Kamal Public School Vikaspuri for the teachers to enable them to use their limited time judiciously. The session conducted by Dr. Asher R. Jesudoss will surely help the teachers to get more things done in less time.

  • Stress Management

    To teach the teachers how to manage stress effectively – a workshop was conducted on June 29th,2018 Friday in the school premises. Mr. A. D Bhatt with his vast experience and the shared anecdotes gave an insight to all the teachers on the topic and made them capable enough to manage stress in a positive way!!!!

  • Class Room Management

    Classroom management creates a set of expectations used in an organized classroom environment. It includes routines, rules and consequences. Effective classroom management paves the way for the teacher to engage the students in learning.

    In order to address the crucial topic, a workshop for the teachers of Kamal Public School Vikaspuri was held in the school premises on June 28th,2018 Thursday. The resourse person Ms. Champa Banerjee guided the teachers with her vast experience of 27 years as a teacher and gave them tips for successful "Class Management"
